I will be joining Fanboy Comics and a myriad of LA’s talented indie artists and creators for the Indie Creator Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, December 12th, 2015, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Brave New World Comics in Santa Clarita, CA! We look forward to seeing you there!
When I said I’ve had zombies on the brain, I wasn’t kidding. The recent binge-watching of iZombie Season One has morphed into a Geek Girls Forever Bookstitch event at Brave New World Comics in which we stitched adorable little zombies and discussed the cultural impact of The Walking Dead in both comic and TV form.
It was all very serious…no laughing at all!
On Saturday night, teems of fabulously dressed geek girls flooded my local comic book store, Brave New World Comics, and took the place over. We did played games, got manicures, sang songs, waged epic trivia battles, and listened to a fabulous group of women, who work in the comic book and related industries, talk about their experiences loving and living their fandoms.
We asked ourselves, “What kind of comics to girls like to read?” We answered, “ALL OF THEM!”
It was amazing.
And of course, we stitched. While sitting really close to a mound of cupcakes.
Over the summer I’m going to be teaching some lovely little geek craft at Brave New World Comics. I’m so very, very excited! Click here for all the info on the amazing things going on at the store over the summer. And check out their Facebook page…cause they’re lovely people who you should really get to know.
